applications are temporarily closed due to funding
Our CARAAF family is grieving and our hearts are broken for founding Board Member Kathy, and her best boy Sparky, who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on July 14, 2020, after a brief but intense battle with lymphoma. Sparky was a handsome, proud, brave, strong, loving, loyal family member and adored by all who knew him. As a member of Kathy's Daily Beagle social media pack, Sparky had friends and admirers across the country and touched thousands.
Kathy helped Sparky enjoy a bucket list full of perfect pup outings, treats and tributes. She cared for Sparky with the fierce love and determination of a mother, ensuring he was happy, comfortable and supported through every precious step of his journey.
Sparky enjoyed a beautiful life filled with park outings, camping adventures, Puppacinos, cuddles, canine companions and the love of a family who will hold him in their hearts forever.
Sparky reminds us, and reinforces our commitment to the mission of CARAAF. Too many rescue dogs must battle the diagnosis of cancer and other life threatening illnesses and injuries. And so, while there is little that can ease Kathy's grief, she has asked that a memorial fund be established in Sparky's name, to help other families and their pups.
This is WHY there is CARAAF.
This is WHY we are asking for your help.
In Sparky's honor, and with your Help, CARAAF will assist a family with a rescue dog in desperate need of critical care. We will not require a positive outcome. Only the confidence of knowing that with a CARAAF grant, and your gift, another dog will enjoy more quality time to live the life of love and happiness they deserve.
Please consider advancing our mission work with a tax-deductible gift in Sparky's honor.
If you are unable to make a donation today, we ask that you PLEASE share the mission of CARAAF with friends and family. You never know who you may Help us Heal.
Run forever free and happy Sparky. We love you.
This summer, with your Help, CARAAF will provide Hope and Healing for dogs like Sparky who are in desperate need of medical care.
